Weekends at Lakeside
LCC offers three different opportunities for worship on the typical weekend. All services meet in the worship center and include singing, a Bible message from the pastor, and a time of remembering Jesus’ sacrifice by the sharing of communion bread and juice for those who wish to partake.
Our goal at each service is to provide a place for members and guests to come into God’s presence, hear Him speak to us through His word, experience His love, forgiveness, and healing, and to open our hearts to Him in worship and praise. We believe God desires these times even more than we do, and that every worship service has the potential to be a powerful and life-changing experience.
- Our Saturday service begins at 5 PM. We call it a “Contemporary” service because it incorporates a more current music style and instrumentation, with a more informal format.
- Our first Sunday service starts at 9 AM. We call it our “Classic” service because the music style incorporates more traditional songs, with piano and keyboard accompaniment, and a more formal worship style.
- Our second service on Sunday begins at 10:45 AM and ends just after noon. Like Saturday this is a “Contemporary” service, with a more informal format.
All services feature the same message and have the same warm hospitality. Guests are encouraged to make themselves at home and participate however they are comfortable. Although there is an offering collected at each service for members to support the needs of the church, we want our visitors to know they are our guests, and not expected to participate in the offering.
There are also various age-appropriate programs for children that meet during all services, as well as programing for Junior and High School students during the 9:00 AM service only.
Adults who want to stay for both services on Sunday can attend one of the Small Group Bible Studies meeting currently with our main service.
